Solutions for Physicians
Few places in healthcare have seen greater downward pressure on reimbursement, and the need to find new efficiencies, than community physician practices. Fortunately, these same practices are now at the center of healthcare innovation. Regulations have been relaxed, technology has become more available and affordable, and business interests have aligned to make healthcare interoperability a strategic priority in many healthcare communities. Accenx™ meets this challenge with solutions that are flexible, easy for physicians to adopt, and deliver real benefits to community practices.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) interoperability. Practices with an EMR know the application is only as useful as the information it contains. With Accenx, we make it easy for you to have bi-directional integration of orders and results so that paper orders and re-keying clinical results currently received on paper are a just a distant memory. Equally important, lab results are only one of many types of clinical information you care about. Accenx can integrate virtually any type of clinical documentation into your EMR, including: labs results, radiology reports, history and physicals, medications, allergies, and billing face sheets. If it’s available on the Accenx health information exchange, we can get it to you.
Web access for practices without an EMR. Not every practices has an EMR, and some physician practices may not get one for quite some time. Accenx provides a web application for viewing clinical results, along with a variety of options for on-demand, batch, or scheduled printing to your local printer. This same web application can also provide online order-entry for hospitals and other organizations that choose to provide this capability to their community.
Practice management information system integration. Accenx can connect your practice management application and EMR so that information can be seamlessly shared. This eliminates the frustration, inefficiency, and keying errors that result when patient registrations, appointment schedules, and charges must be manually entered in both an EMR and practice management information system. And like all of our services, this integration is implemented, monitored, and supported entirely remotely through the Accenx Appliance in your practice.
Adjust to the unique needs of each practice. Every physician practice is different in how they operate, the types of computer applications installed, and the familiarity of its staff with new technologies. Accenx provides the flexibility to easily adjust to whatever your practice needs. This can be a specific type of application interface for bi-directional orders and results to a practice’s electronic medical record (EMR) application, or using Accenx' own web application for viewing results for practices without an EMR.
Easy to adopt with low barriers to entry. Accenx recognizes that few physician practices have the luxury of a dedicated information technology staff, and those that do don't typically have the bandwidth to take on yet another high-priority project. As a result, we make it as easy as possible for practices to connect and share information with hospitals and others in their community. All that’s required is a small Accenx appliance in the practice, and we do the rest remotely. This means there’s no proprietary software to install on your computers that can break at the least convenient time, and no additional computer hardware to maintain.
